Positive: Amazing and unique property. Very spacious house with an enormous and well equipped kitchen. Sizable and clean pool with effective shade over it (maybe a little too effective, the water was even rather cold when we were there, I think it was filled recently though). Large bedrooms with private bathrooms (shower, bath,..). Beds were comfortable, though a little short for tall people. House stays remarkable cool even without airco (there is airco in the bedrooms). Same goes for the outdoor patio with dining table, it was comfortable all day long. The house, even though its clearly not new, was spotless and clean. Salmon, the property manager, was quite helpful and polite. The dogs, Django in particular, was also great fun. An excellent and slightly imposing guard dog that treated us as if we had known him all his life after 2 minutes. He is still young and a little enthusiastic, but if you like dogs, you will love Django. Many small attentions and provisions made us feel very welcome.
Negative: Its location is fairly isolated, and about 20 minute drive from Windhoek, which may be a pro or con depending on what you are looking for. Its not the most scenic neighbourhood if you leave the (large) property. I was a little surprised there are no window screens (to stop insects), so opening windows is not the best idea. There are mosquito nets over the beds though and every room had a spray can of Doom insect spray and repellent spray.
Summary: Awesome property, even if we didnt stay long enough to fully appreciate it. Maybe next time.
